Little Readers.

Big Conversations.

Helping children understand dementia through stories, love and conversation.

It started with one little book.

It became something much bigger.

Through Billie’s Eyes was created from our family’s personal experience with dementia. Along the way, we discovered a gap… There simply weren’t enough resources helping children understand dementia in a way that felt relatable, gentle and that made sense to them.

So, we decided to fill it.

What began as a children’s book has grown into a mission to start conversations, raise awareness and make dementia easier to talk about- for children, families and communities.

That mission continues through my work as an author and Dementia Australia Advocate.

Beyond The Book

A VOICE FOR CHANGE

Hon Reece Whitby MLA

A conversation that created change.

After meeting with the Hon. Reece Whitby MLA to share my hopes for Through Billie’s Eyes, Reece purchased copies for every primary school and library in his electorate helping this important conversation reach even more children and families.

Hamish Macdonald, Myself & Jim Rogers

Taking our story to the airwaves. 🎙️

A special moment with Hold the Moment hosts Hamish Macdonald and Jim Rogers.

I was incredibly honoured to contribute a reading of Through Billie’s Eyes to Season 3 of Dementia Australia’s podcast taking our little book, and its message, to an even wider audience.

Gwenda and Myself

Gwenda is living with Dementia.

Gwenda is a Dementia Advocate and a guest on season 3 of Hold the Moment Podcast. We feature on the same episode where you can hear me reading our book.

More than a book. A community.
